WHERE WE COME FROM
Our History
Osteofocus is a project born from the mind and work of its founder, Pedro Malheiro. At its core is the desire to carry the flag of the profession he chose, loves, and believes in: Osteopathy.
His life journey, always connected to sports, made him familiar with pain from an early age. He also had to interact with a variety of healthcare professionals early on, and he soon realized that there was often a gap between his complaints and the diagnoses and treatments proposed. What initially was pain turned into curiosity and study.
Over a decade, he went through several clinics and projects and treated thousands of patients. From the good and the bad he experienced, he sought to always learn and soon realized the need for a serious project focused entirely on the needs of the patient, designed to serve them in the best way possible and address an area often poorly received, poorly understood, and consequently poorly treated: pain!
Today, Osteofocus seeks to adapt the basic principles of Osteopathy to the best neuroscience available for understanding and treating pain. Because we know that the best results come from teamwork, today, we are surrounded by professionals from other areas such as General and Family Medicine, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Nutrition, etc., who internally and externally to Osteofocus, allow us to place the patient in the right place to achieve their goals.
