Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a regulated healthcare profession under Law 71/2013. Grounded in the latest neuroscience of pain, the approach is based on a global view of the patient to establish a clinical reasoning that allows for the diagnosis and treatment of current complaints, as well as the prevention of future problems.

As such, the osteopath has deontological autonomy to address musculoskeletal dysfunctions, working in conjunction with other specialties, both in this field and in conditions such as digestive, gynecological, obstetric, pediatric, etc.

An osteopathy consultation provides a specific and detailed recognition of the cause of the patient's pain. Based on the diagnosis, the osteopath will administer a treatment tailored to the needs and possibilities of each individual, with the aim of restoring lost quality of life and movement.
